Quilt Festival in Houston Texas, now in its 35th year, was an opportunity for thirty to forty thousand consumers who come from all over to shop until they drop at this four day shopping adventure. Quilting and apparel fabrics, embellishments, patterns, jewelry and much more are displayed in attractive, colorful and inviting booths. In addition, classes and workshops are available, including the popular Make It University. Museum quality exhibits are a feast for the eyes.

I attended Quilt Festival for the first time in many years and couldn’t resist buying some of the Amy Butler and Kaffe Fassett fabric fat quarters. Watch this blog in the near future and I will show you my new stash of “hidden PUL” diapers lined with Babyville Boutique PUL on the inside. I also bought cuddly fabrics from Shannon for covers and linings, so these fabrics should keep me busy for a while.

While in Houston, I also had the opportunity to visit the new Texas Quilt Museum in LaGrange, Texas. If you find yourself in the area and you love quilts, then be sure to visit this breathtaking museum; you will not be sorry.
